January 6, 2017 LIVE recital:

PAUL HARRYN & THOMAS KORT, “The Sound of Painting”

....Something completely different

POWER TO THE PORTRAIT, REDUX” BY DAVE MOSER” beginning January 20, 2017 in the SBFA Gallery vestibule...

This exhibit features a Moser’s key portraits including the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump and the 1st Lady, Melania Trump; nemesis and political journalist, Megyn Kelly; additional award winning photographs from Moser’s American Housewife Series, Love Story, Veteran’s Project among others.

This work was originally exhibited as part of a 3-person exhibit for November’s Olympus InVision Photo Festival and we decided to rework it, hence “redux”, as a one-person exhibit on the occasion of the inauguration and the 1st 100 days of this Presidency.

DISCLAIMER: To exhibit a work of art is not to endorse the work or the vision, ideas, and opinions of the artist. It is to uphold the right of all to experience diverse visions and views. If and when controversies arise from the exhibition of a work of art, we welcome public discussion and debate with the belief that such discussion is integral to the experience of the art. Consistent with our fundamental commitment to freedom of speech, however, we will not censor exhibitions in response to political or ideological pressure.

Freedom of speech is the foundation of our communities and our nation. The works SBFA exhibits may awe, illuminate, challenge, unsettle, confound, provoke, and, at times, offend. We defend the freedom to create content and exhibit such work, and we recognize the privilege of living in a country where creating, exhibiting, and experiencing such work is a constitutional right.
